(THIS INCLUDES RECEIVING RIDER ID WRISTBAND, BICYCLE ID, LUGGAGE ID(s), T-SHIRT, MAP BOOK, PRE-ORDERED JERSEY & PRE-ORDERED MEAL WRISTBANDS)

Each registered cyclist may bring ONE OR TWO WATERPROOF bags, not to exceed 40 lbs a
piece (a total of 80 lbs, combined – keeping in mind that you will be carrying your own bag(s),
it is helpful to have one bag, a backpack, in which to carry clothing and personal items, and
a second bag, if necessary, with a sleeping bag, pillow, pad and tent. Enclosed is a PACKING
GUIDE to give you an idea of what to bring. We recommend a SOFT-SIDED DUFFEL BAG THAT
IS WATERPROOF, AS IT WILL BE UNPROTECTED FROM THE WEATHER WHEN IT IS UNLOADED
EACH DAY, AND THAT THE BAG COULD POSSIBLY BE WORN AS A BACKPACK, Please, no
large boxes on wheels or trash cans. We will transport your ONE or TWO bags each day from
town to town. HOWEVER, we do request that each participant load his or her own bag(s) into
the luggage trucks. Remember, you will be carrying your bags from the drop off site to the
campsite and back. Please be sure each bag weighs no more than 40lbs to ensure that you
are able to handle them easily. Please mark your bag(s) with your name and attach the BTC
luggage ID, given at BTC Check-In, to each bag(s). The luggage trucks will begin to leave the outdoor/
indoor camping site each morning at 6:30am. The last truck leaves at 9am. PLEASE
REMEMBER WHICH LUGGAGE TRUCK YOU PUT YOUR BAGS ONTO.
Avoid the hassle and risk of flying your bicycle! The BTC is teaming up with The Hubbicycle shop in Pagosa Springs for your shipping convenience. Contact The Hub at 970-731-2002 to make shipping arrangements for your bicycle.They will unpack your bike, assemble it, and have it ready and waiting for you when you arrive at Pagosa Springs High School. No lugging it to the airport, no waiting for it at baggage claim, no trouble fitting it in the car or bus. At the end of the ride, drop your bicycle off at Breckenridge Recreation Center for High Country Shipping to ship home for you.
Your bicycle is YOUR OWN responsibility. PLEASE bring a security lock. Some of the outdoor/indoor camping sites do have fenced areas that may be used for overnight bike storage, but these are NOT secured or patrolled. Please do not leave bicycles unlocked or unsupervised in downtown areas or anywhere at anytime.
Weeklong parking and bicycle box storage will be available in Host start town and must be reserved by April 29, 2017. The cost for weeklong parking is $35; the cost for bicycle box storage is $25. If you have not yet reserved parking or bicycle box storage, please do so online by logging in to the BTC website and adding them to your profile, or by mailing or faxing payment, along with the enclosed form, to: BICYCLE TOUR OF COLORADO, PO Box 1225, Morrison, CO 80465. FAX # 303-988-9568. The parking pass and/or bike box storage card will be in your packet at BTC Check-In, Saturday, June 17, from 2pm-6pm at Pagosa Springs High School. Week long parking will be located in Host start town. The parking lot IS NOT SECURED, you must lock your vehicle.
There is only ONE way to cancel a registration for the 2017 BTC. If for any reason a registration must be cancelled for the 2017 Bicycle Tour of Colorado, all request must be in writing and must be mailed by postal mail and must be postmarked on or before April 29, 2017. NO FAXED, PHONED IN, EMAILED, or any other form of cancellation notification will be accepted. Refunds will be in full, less a $75 service charge **There are NO REFUNDS AFTER APRIL 29, 2017 FOR ANY REASON, MEDICAL OR OTHER, NO EXCEPTIONS
Please do not call the BTC asking for an exception. (See the Wavier you agreed to and signed on your registration form.) NO TRANSFERS or CARRY- OVERS There are NO TRANSFERS OF REGISTRATION TO ANY OTHER PERSON and THERE ARE NO CARRY-OVERS to the next year.
