Oskar Blues Brewery – ColoRADo’s original craft beer in a can company and makers of Dale’s Pale Ale, recently signed on as the official beer sponsor of the BTC! Look for Oskar Blues beer gardens in Gunnison on June 21st, Pagosa Springs on June 25 & 26 and at the CAN’d Aid/Kelty Camp-out at the I Bar Ranch in Gunnison for the BTC’s closing weekend celebration.
The Oskar Blues CAN’d Aid Foundation is the official charitable partner of the BTC and riders are strongly encourage to raise money for this incredible nonprofit! Formed as an immediate response to the 2013 flood that devastated much of Colorado’s front range, CAN’d Aid raised & distributed $515,000 in just 3 months. Funds assisted 60 businesses, 235 families and 5 organizations affected by the flood.
CAN’d Aid is still actively involved in raising funds & awareness for flood related projects, and also gives back to programs across the country dedicated to biking, music, sustainability, and other worthy causes. Their unique spin on charitable giving allows the foundation to remain nimble, react quickly and stay true to their roots. And did we mention that Oskar Blues Brewery MATCHES every dollar raised by CAN’d Aid – essentially doubling your donation and maximizing the charitable impact!
How can YOU help? Reach out to your own network and solicit pledge donations for each mile you ride in the BTC. Ask your company to sponsor your ride. Join other BTC riders to form a team and set an overall fundraising goal. Make a personal donation. Giving back makes the ride more meaningful and your donations will help fund bike related projects like getting inner city kids on bikes, building & improving trail access and working toward safer bike commuter lanes.
