The 2005 Bicycle Tour of Colorado
June 26th through July 2nd
Aspen, Leadville, Salida, Crested Butte, Hotchkiss, Glenwood Springs

A week long road bicycle tour through the Colorado Rockies. The Bicycle Tour of Colorado provides camping services, route maps and road marking, aid stations every 15-25 miles, bicycle repair services, and medical support during your week in Colorado.

For many cyclists the Bicycle Tour of Colorado is the trip of a lifetime. We host riders from all over the world- Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia, South America, and Asia. Many riders join us year after year.

    2005 Route Highlights:
  • Aspen Jazz Festival (www.jazzaspen.org)
  • Crossing the Continental Divide at Independence Pass
  • The Arkansas River Valley
  • Passing mountain peaks over 14,000' including Mount Elbert, Mount Massive, and the Collegiate Peaks
  • Crossing the Continental Divide at Monarch Pass
  • A Day off in the ski town of Crested Butte
  • The Black Canyon of the Gunnison River
  • McLure Pass
  • The Roaring Fork River Valley
  • The Glenwood Springs Pools

Join us this summer for an adventure, a real adventure, as well as a vacation. Pedal through groves of Aspen; Up and over the Continental Divide; Ride in the shadows of Colorado's highest peaks; Meet people from all over the world. This year's tour will ride along the Roaring Fork River, the Arkansas River, and the Gunnison River.

Snowmass If you would like to arrive early and acclimate, stay over the 4th of July weekend, or just have a soft bed the night before the ride, book a room in Snowmass! Leadville The Leadville Hostel has beds available in their "dormitory rooms" for June 26th. Contact them at (719)486-9334 for reservations.

Crested Butte Make your day off from riding a day off from camping too. Contact the Grand Lodge in Crested Butte at 1-888-823-4446 for a place to stay in the Butte.
Hotchkiss The Scenic Mesa Ranch has rooms available, call 970-872-3078, or visit www.scenicmesa.com.
Guest rooms are also available in Hotchkiss, Call Libby Schovajsa at 970-872-4456 for reservations and information.
