We are excited to announce the route for the 2005 tour Sunday, June 26th through Saturday, July 2nd. This year the tour is seven days starting in Aspen/Snowmass Village Saturday, June 25th for registered rider checkin. On Day 1 we will depart Snowmass Village June 26th through Aspen over scenic and challenging Independence Pass to the historic mining town of Leadville. Day 2 departing Leadville going around Turquoise Lake through Buena Vista along the Arkansas River Valley and the Collegiate Peaks to Salida. Day 3 departing Salida westbound over Monarch Pass along the Gunnison River Valley to Crested Butte. Day 4 is a day off in the charming and fun filled ski town of Crested Butte!!! Day 5 leaving Crested Butte through the Curecanti National Recreation area to the town of Hotchkiss along the spectacular Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Day 6 we leave Hotchkiss and climb over McClure Pass and decend along the beautiful Crystal River through Redstone to Glenwood Springs, known for its hot springs and spas. Day 7 departing Glenwood Springs past Mt Sopris to Aspen/Snowmass ending the tour at the slopes of the Snowmass Village. This route offers a scenic variety, town charm, history, hot springs, and a challenging route. This route is located in the central Colorado Rockies. Look forward for more details and early registration in upcoming days.
