I recall about 2-3 years ago on the BTC (I think) we had a blind man using a handcycle. If I rembember correctly he did extreamly well. His tools he used grabbed alot of peoples attention with intrest.
I have seen people who use them and most do a excellent job riding the tour.
I am a hand cyclist- first time riding this tour. Ian at Adaptive Adventures will gvie you the information you need. Alot of up-hills on this one- but think of ride down. As you kow there is no better ride than a handcylce downhill. Good luck and we will see you out there. PS make sure you bring rain gear.
