Prior to requiring login for the message boards we had several problems.
1. If you posted your e-mail with a message that e-mail was available to the world. This allowed robots to harvest your e-mail address. Generally this led to lots and lots of spam.
2. We had advertisers post non-bicycling advertisements, including several postings for what I will call non family oriented businesses.
3. We had a few people that continually posted nothing but negative items regarding the tour. Although we welcome constructive criticism posting the same complaint over and over and over again is not acceptable.
